Yoga

Yoga is a movement that took root in providing physical, intellectual and emotional growth of the child. It is a method towards self realization and well-being.

Teenage is that period of life when they are entangled between school, exams, sports, tuition and many health disorders. Yoga  is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines that originated in ancient India, aimed at controlling, stilling the mind, and recognizing the detached 'witness-consciousness' as untouched by the activities of the mind and mundane suffering. There is a broad variety of the schools of yoga practices, goals, traditional forms and modern methods of yoga are practiced worldwide. Yoga soothes the mind, body and helps to eliminate social and academic stress.

As a part of co-curricular activities, it is practiced at school once a week.

Students perform different Asanas and breathing exercises too.

Vocabulary

Enriching one’s vocabulary is very beneficial. The same is done in these classes by teaching the importance of words and the usage through activities.

BalVikas

Moral stories and values are taught to the students during the class that help in developing their personality in a positive way.

Basketball

Physical exercise and games not only boosts learning but also immunes the body against diseases. Students play basketball with great enthusiasm.

Music

Music not only soothes the body but also calms one’s mind. Students learn vocal music in groups once every week.

Life Skills

The development of life skills help students to find new ways of thinking , problem solving, recognize the impact of their actions and teaches them to take responsibility for what they do. Builds confidence both in spoken skills and for group collaboration and co operation.

Bhagavad Gita

Understanding the essence of Bhagavad Gita can inspire children and help them develop good values. It helps develop the right perspective of life, practice tolerance and forgiveness, stay calm. The classes are held twice every week.

Meditation

Meditation is practiced every day at school.

Art

Art encourages creativity . It improves motor skills, simple aspects like mastering a paint brush or using crayons and pencils, help develop finer motor skills. It also helps improve academic performance.It fosters collaboration and group learning.

Sports

Sports is an integral part of the school curriculum. It inculcates qualities like leadership, discipline, sharing, team work, honesty, team spirit and tolerance among the students.
